Check Your Local Power Company
Start by contacting your local gas company to check availability in your neighborhood. We can then help you explore your options and determine if converting to natural gas is the right choice for you. Rebates & Credits in PA
PECO offers rebates and credits* for installing natural gas service at your home.
- Up to $600 for qualifying ENERGY STAR natural gas furnaces
- Up to $1,000 for qualifying ENERGY STAR natural gas boilers or combi boilers
- $200 for converting your main or sole heating source to natural gas
These rebates are available to PECO natural gas customers in southern Chester County. For a conversion rebate, customers must replace their current oil, propane, or electric heating systems with a new, qualified natural gas heating system. Additionally, the new system must be the residence’s sole or primary heat source.
Installation Credits:
To enjoy natural gas benefits, we need to determine if you are near a natural gas main and require a service line. If you do not have a natural gas service line, you may be eligible for credits from PECO toward installation costs. In October 2015, the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PAPUC) approved PECO’s plan to provide more incentives for customers switching to natural gas service, offering larger credits based on usage.
