Team Uprooted

Team Uprooted: Marty Long has been coming to the Cecil County Fair for several years; his extreme chainsaw carving show, “Team Uprooted,” never fails to draw a crowd. Marty began his carving career in 1992 with “Fear No Ice,” an ice carving company, and he competed on the N.I.C.A. competition circuit. In 2000 he tried his hand at woodcarving and then joined “Masters of the Chainsaw.” Onlookers will observe an original and captivating high-energy performance during a forty-five-minute show from behind protective netting. With a chain saw roaring and chips flying, Marty’s precision and skill quickly transform a three-foot-tall log into a true work of art. Nearly every show will result in a chainsaw carving being produced from start to finish, with as many as four chainsaw carvings per day. Two days during the Fair, we auction off the carvings at a live auction and raffle off several pieces.

Mobile Glass Studio

Ryan Gothrup of Mobile Glass Studios has produced one-of-a-kind glass objects for twenty years. Gothrup received his B.F.A. degree from Kent State University and his M.F.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University. He exhibits and sells his glass across the country. Gothrup Glass exemplifies a combination of Italian, Swedish, and German techniques with an American twist.

Blacksmith

Jason Anderson is an ornamental blacksmith specializing in functional fabrication work.
In 2013 his passion for metal art began at a local artisan’s workshop. It grew from there as he dove into a mentorship that has given him lifelong friendships.

His business, JHA Works, has been in operation since 2017 and continues to grow monthly as he shares his passion with his clients. He aims to bring artistic beauty and unique design to blacksmithing and everyday functionality.

Danny Grant

Danny Grant has been putting smiles on people’s faces since he was just a baby while entertaining at Fairs & Festivals in his parent’s variety show, “Bounce, OOO LaLa, and Danny.”
Growing up as a 2nd generation entertainer, Danny was taught many performing skills, and he has used these to create a fantastic show of his own. Available for Stage, Street, or Strolling Shows, Danny Grant’s Cowboy Circus features Family- Friendly Comedy, Cowboy Tricks, Juggling, Guitar Pickin’, Audience Participation, and more, and makes up one of the best & exciting new acts in the entertainment industry.
Danny’s charm, personality, and talent are guaranteed to be a wonderful attraction for guests of all ages at your next event.

Gail Mirabella & Pool Party Pooches

Gail Mirabella started The Dynamo Dogs in 2006 when she and her Frisbee dogs were the featured dog act on “The Greatest Show on Earth” at Ringling Bros. Circus for four years. She has performed disc dog shows since 1997, qualifying for the Alpo Canine Disc World Championship and the Purina Incredible Dog Chow Nationals.

Many of her dogs have been adopted or rescued. Most recently adopted is a terrier mix from L.A. that is a very special boy, a “tripod” whose name is Tripper. He’s the perfect addition to the team and is the certified “Meet and Greet” dog.
Through their performances, Gail not only entertains but also showcases to the audience the happy and healthy relationship she has with every one of her dogs. Gail believes anyone can create a special bond with their dog with little time, patience, and positive training.
